3 December 2021
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Sino Group (the ‘Group’), the Group’s member loyalty programme, Sino Club, announces the launch of the ‘Sino Group 50th Anniversary - Creating Better Lifescapes Photo Contest’ (the ‘Contest’). Inspired by the Group’s vision, ‘Creating Better Lifescapes’, as the theme, the Contest encourages avid photographers to capture the beauty in their communities around the subject of ‘Green Living’, ‘Innovative Design’ and ‘Community Spirit’. Participants of the Contest stand the chance to win attractive prizes with a total estimated value of HK$138,000 including the latest X-T4 and X-T30 II camera models sponsored by FUJIFILM, Sino Hotels accommodation and dining vouchers as well as S coupons sponsored by the Group.
Over the past 50 years, Sino Group has committed itself to the vision of ‘Creating Better Lifescapes’ by continuously shaping the cities we call home, where people live, work, and play, through the three interconnected pillars of ‘Green Living’, ‘Innovative Design’ and ‘Community Spirit’. Sino Club hopes to encourage the Contest’s participants to appreciate the community’s special moments as they take photos at the Group’s properties, and use their photos to tell the story of the city’s transformation, architectural vision, cultural heritage, community connections, craftsmanship, and natural landscapes. Through the Contest, the experience of engaging with the community and the environment through the medium of photography will immerse participants into the vision of Creating Better Lifescapes, and of the importance of sustainable development. With Christmas around the corner, it is the perfect time to capture the city at its most joyous, adorned with dazzling decorations.
The ‘Sino Group 50th Anniversary - Creating Better Lifescapes Photo Contest’ comprises two groups – the Open Group and the Student Group – both of which are open for online submissions from now until 23 January 2022. Submissions will be reviewed by a judging panel of representatives from Sino Group, Fuji Photo Products Co. Ltd., the Urban Renewal Authority and professional photographers of FUJIFILM X-Photographer. Winners’ works will also be displayed at the ‘Creating Better Lifescapes’ Photo Exhibition from 23 April 2022 onwards. Sino Club will also organise a series of free photography workshops to be held at locations such as Tai O and Hong Kong Gold Coast during the Contest period to encourage public participation. In addition to the final winners selected by the judges, public can vote for the ‘Most Liked’ Award on the Contest website between 1 and 11 February 2022.
